WebCT 6 Resources
These links are created to aid students in successful usage of the CASC WebCT system.
1. How do I create a user account for WebCT?
This video will show students how to create a user account in webct. This step must be completed before students can add their courses within WebCT.
2. I don't see my course when I log into WebCT. How do I add my course to my course section to the My WebCT course list?
This link will take the student through the step-by-step process of adding a course section to their My WebCT Course List.
3. There aren't any math courses showing in the WebCT course list. How do I attend an online math class?
Math courses are not attended or administred through CASC WebCT system. This resourse will help student to create a user account and log on to their online math course.
4. Are you having trouble getting the hang of the new WebCT CE6 system? Try the all new WebCT orientation tutorial.
This course will show students how to effectively use the new WebCT CE6 system. It may also be used my faculty to gain a better understanding from the students view of WebCT. You may have to double click the link to make it open the register page.

What does my computer need to run CASC WebCT CE6 without problems?

  1. Do a browser Checkup For WebCT
  2. Make sure the Java Runtime Environment is installed correctly and to the most updated version.
  3. Make sure all pop-up blockers are disabled or uninstalled. Most web toolbars that are third party
    software installations will have a pop-up blocker build in. Here are some examples:
    • Google Toolbar
    • Yahoo Toolbar
    • My Web Searchbar
    • View Point
    • MySpace Toolbar
    • Ebay Toolbar
  4. Make sure all Malware, Spyware, and Adware is uninstalled from your computer. A few of these
    that regularly disable WebCT usage are:
    • Starware
    • Spyware Doctor

    If users are having trouble with pages loading within Internet Explorer CASC recommeds they
    download the newest version of the Firefox internet browser.
