ACT Testing

CASC offers both the ACT National and ACT Residual tests on advertised dates. ACT is offered as an admissions test to incoming freshman students who are ages 20 years and younger and to adult students who are a pre-health professional.

COMPASS Testing

The COMPASS is offered to freshman students as a placement exam for those who test below 19 on the ACT subtest in a subject area and to adults as an alternate admissions test.
 

Advanced Standing

Students may earn college credit for information learned outside the traditional classroom. Original documents must be submitted to the Registrar for evaluation and placement on the CASC transcript.
 
Academic testing by CLEP, AP, DANTES, and EXCELSIOR are nationally accredited tools by which college equivalents are awarded. Military education may be evaluated with the services of American Council on Education or ACE Registrary Transcript or by submissions of the DD-214 or NOBE (limited). CLEET certification and vocational education may also be evaluated with a limited number of equivalencies offered. Departmental examinations are available in the areas of microcomputer applications, nutrition, and medical terminology (see department).

Testing Center

Students may visit with personnel in the Learning Resource Center for information about COMPASS testing or advanced standing tests, such as CLEP or DANTES examinations. The office is located on the Poteau campus, in Hemphill Hall.
