Commencement Program, May 8, 2009

Rehearsal for commencement will be Thursday, May 7th, 2009 at 2:00 PM, at the Mick Thompson Fitness Center. If you will be attending commencement please make plans to attend rehearsal on that day. Commencement will be Friday, May 8th, 2008 at 7:30 PM in the Mick Thompson Fitness Center. Plan to arrive by 6:30 PM to line-up and to receive your announcement card.

IMPORTANT:

  • All graduates should pick up your cap/gown at the CASC Viking Bookstore before Graduation Day. (Not needed for rehearsal)
  • Rehearsal is Thursday, May 7th, at 2:00 PM. in the Mick Thompson Fitness Center.
  • Graduates should arrive Friday, May 8th, by 6:30 PM at the Mick Thompson Fitness Center.
  • If you plan to attend commencement but are absolutely unable to attend rehearsal on Thursday, May 7th, you must arrive at the Mick Thompson Fitness Center no later than 6:00 PM the night of commencement.You may go to the information table for your instructions and placement. 

During the commencement exercise, you will receive your diploma cover. Your actual diploma will be mailed to you at a later date. A copy of the graduation program will be included in the cover and additional programs will be available after commencement.

Application for Graduation

Students may download an application or come by and visit with the staff at the Office of Admissions to complete/submit the application. Applications for Graduation are accepted until:

 * November 1 for fall graduates,

 * April 1 for spring graduates and summer grads who wish to "walk" in May commencement, and

 * July 1 for summer graduates.

Applications for summer graduation are also due prior to April 1 for those wishing to "walk" in the spring commencement ceremonies and have their name placed in the program.

The Office of Admissions will continue to service students who apply for graduation after the deadline date. However, late applicants may not be included with published lists of graduates, such as commencement program, awards assembly, and local newspapers.


Transfer Students

To earn an associates degree from CASC, transfer students must complete either a total of 45 CASC hours or the last 12 hours with CASC to earn a degree from Carl Albert. Certificate programs are prorated in similar percentages.

Degree Posted and Diplomas

Degrees are posted to the transcript at the end of the semester,  after courses are successfully completed with a 2.00 GPA minimum, and the requisite number of credit hours are completed.  Diplomas are printed off-campus and delivered to the student within 60 days after the last day of classes and when all holds are removed.
